Went Haw Par Villa at Pasir Panjang Road with Weliam yesterday morning, around 11am.

Haha, amazing, after 4 years staying at Pasir Panjang Road, now only we took the "initiative" to actually pay a visit to the tourist attraction point which is super famous last time. I still remember the last time I go there was back in lower sec, during family trip to Sg. Guess was too young that time, can only remember the name but not the settings of the villa back then. 完全没印象. Haha.

Configure Samsung WEP250 for Skype on Windows 7

Samsung WEP250

Been trying to configure my bluetooth headset on my comp for the past few days. But windows just can't seems to automatically find the proper driver to install. In the end, I found this bluetooth driver installer from Broadcom that works perfectly.

Procedure:
1. Download the Bluetooth Device Setup Downloader (SetupBtwDownloadSE.exe) at Broadcom website. (Hotfile mirror)

Broadcom site 

2. Turn the device to pairing mode by holding the "multi-function" button for 8 seconds.
3. Run SetupBtwDownloadSE.exe.
4. Wait until the driver installation complete, usually will take about 15-20 minutes.
5. Now, turn the bluetooth device to pairing mode again.
6. Add your device, Windows 7 should automatically install the driver, the correct driver this time.
7. Check Skype, click "Allow access" for "BTStackServer.exe wants to use Skype".
8. Check Skype, click "Allow access" for "BluetoothHeadsetProxy.exe wants to use Skype".

9. Run Skype and call "Echo / Sound Test Service" to test the headset.
10. Enjoy!

Tiger being abused to earn money in Malaysia

This tiger is placed at the main entrance at safari world. when customer come in will ask them to take the picture then to wash out for rm15 to buy back the picture. Pls see, the tiger is very tired already but the worker is force it's to take picturer. You can notice wyhen the worker let go his hand then the tiger is going to lay and the worker is pinch it's nose and pull it's whiskers.

Seriously, this is the worst that can happen when Malaysia trying to promote tourism. And will only draw attention of worldwide animal-rights organisations.

"There was no abuse to the tiger, the tiger was just drowsy and lazy after being fed and so was being prodded by the handler to get into position," Afamosa resort general manager Allan Chee told AFP.

This kind of statement, he better be right about the facts. Or else, I'm sure this statement will cost him his position in the coming weeks... which I think most likely will be. The tiger cannot be "drowsy and lazy" after being fed. Can tell from the video that the tiger has no strength to even move its leg. And wouldn't it pissed-off when the worker pull its whiskers?

The pictures shows aftermath of conflicts. And this is definitely not the Thailand that we know anymore.

This would not happen if only everyone can take a step back. And political leaders or representatives can sit down and talk, instead of gathering supporters to protest.

A peaceful conference is definitely a better solution.

Come to think of it, the situation is similar to the previous issues in Malaysia. Just that the government manage to cool things down before they escalates. But, there are still few barbaric leaders who's voice is bigger than action. And always shout and scold foul-words at others in front of media.

Its very important for leaders to be calm and vigilant; Its is more important for people to be smart enough to choose the right leaders to represent them.

Went down to Sim Lim Square around 11.30pm to change my RAM which defected few weeks back. Initially I wanted to buy another new RAM, but got shocked by the price increase. The 2GB RAM that I bought in Jan 2009 was $28. Now, the same RAM cost $78... Almost 3 fold! Can u imagine that!

Ah, its official... got rejected by Blbg. Got a call from Kim when I just about to take a nap around 5pm. Ah... after 4 interviews, they decided to take another Hong Kong guy.

zzz... JW has been sleeping whole day.... before I went out, he still sleeping, after I came back around 3, he is still sleeping... YC say he got wake up in between, around 1pm... zai la... Haha.

Steamboat dinner.

Had steamboat dinner with JW, Cindy, Tina, Weliam, YC at kitchen. Initially we wanted to eat at rooftop, but found out that after rain, the benches are wet and there are a lot of small moth flying around under the light. So we decided to just eat in kitchen.

I like to eat with them. Talkcock and suan-ing each other while eating. Feel so much more alive. But, think I ate too much... stomach feel like gonna burst soon...

After dinner, around 9pm. We went down to see the new batch of raggers. Saw the current progress, not bad. Some how felt that I kinda like the working environment, like so fun the sit together in a circle to discuss. There are past designs and current designs pasted on wall, sign that they did their homework... haha

Just one fundamental mistake that they made - Focus on the wrong thing. Still early though, no issue :)

We (the lao langs) continue to enjoy the aircon in the ops room while talking nonsense. Sometimes I felt that we are too loud. Don't know whether they (those who are working) feel irritated or not...

Updates

Just finish shifting to new room today - A606. Previously its Jordan's room.

Ah, damn tired sorting, packing and shifting all my stuff. I cleared 2/3 of my stuff, left with 2 big boxes (not including the box for computer) and 2 luggages. But after moving all the boxes and the luggages, I feel like throwing away some of the things again, considering I'll need to move again sometime in end-of-June. Officially move out of KR.

Memories are costly.

A weird thought ran thru my mind when I'm packing. There are a lot of gifts, letters, and booklets that I kept for the past 4 years. Those little little gifts, notes, paste-its, letters and shirts are precious memories to me. But Memories are hard and costly to keep physically. Further more, those memories only make sense to me, and not others. If I'm gone one day, people are going to throw away all those things. Simply because none can understand the value behind it.

Digitize.

So, I decided to digitize all the gifts, notes and shirts. I took the photos of every single thing before throwing them away. Will post the photos slowly when I'm free to edit them.

Work.

Ah, have to start looking for jobs and house from tomorrow onwards. I'm really exhausted from the shifting today, so decided to slack for the night.

Ohya, forget to tell. Jiawei is my new neighbour at 6 floor. And we are going to be neighbour, or roommate to be precise for the coming one year.

Just now ordered McD, and all of us eat together. YC, Tina, me and JW.

Feel like finding "the monk" to talk-talk a bit to get updates on his recent life. Haha.

Felt much alive after exam. (actually don't feel the urge to online also after exam... wth, online so much before exam, but after exam, I didn't even bother to on my comp the whole day until just now, to watch TV while eating McD.)

Interesting observation about guys when talking to their girlfriend

My neighbour, HX, was talking with his girlfriend over the phone just now. While on the phone, he walk around in his room, then walk out to corridor once a while, then walk back and lie down on the bed, play with the TV controller... this continues throughout the conversation.

Actually I notice this kind of behaviour on myself as well.

I wonder why we just can't sit still and talk. Either we move around, or we grab any nearby objects to play with (randomly).

Maybe this is how we channel out the excitement in ourself?

不知不觉我们在一起已经18个月了。


我很享受跟你在一起的每一刻。一起吃早餐，午餐，晚餐。偶尔去附近散步，一起看《康熙来了》，一起看《Fringe》，一起走街，一起去旅游。。。


有时候我会觉得我越来越依赖着你。早上你会准时地把我从被窝中叫醒，下午会泡水给我，晚上你会督促我读书。。。

Blogging

I really admire those people who consistently blog about their life, their kids. Example of one of the blog that follow http://myangelpanda.blogspot.com/.

I don't know the blogger, but just bookmarked her blog in my Google Reader after YC recommended the blog. And I followed through every single post ever since. I find it amusing to read those post about her child - from new born to almost-2-year-old-kid-that-can-walk.

Reading through my old posts, I find that I tend to blog less and less about my life. I feel that nothing much to blog about.

I wonder will I continue to blog when I'm old?

Good bus driver

Went Sheng Siong for grocery with YC just now. On our way back, we took #51 SBS bus from Ginza. I think the bus plat number was "SBS 7366A", or something.

What so special about the bus?

Well the bus driver is super nice. He helped a physically disabled old lady down at the bus stop opposite Ginza. The old lady was on an automated wheel chair and she was having difficulty to reverse down the bus via the small platform connected between the bus and bus-stop. The bus driver slowly guided her without showing any sign of impatient on his face.

Then along the way, whenever there are elderly aboard the bus, he will make sure that they sit down properly before he gently drive off.

Me and YC looked at each other, nodded and smiled.

Compared to previous experiences of taking public transport, where the drivers doesn't even care whether the passengers found their place or not, they will just dash off after you scanned your card. Erm, I'm not saying he should wait for people to find their sit, bus at least drive off gently mar... most of the time, we lost balance due to the sudden move. Imagine if its those elderly? The might even fell of their feet.

Anyway, the driver that we met just now simply brighten up my day. Glad that there are still super good drivers around.
